Kin's Memory is what makes it feel like a true thinking partner rather than a generic chatbot. Here's how it works.

How does Memory work?

As you talk with your advisors and journal, Kin builds a memory of facts, context, and patterns you share. Kin can access this memory during any conversation, so you never need to repeat yourself, and your advisors can reference relevant context from past discussions.

Does Kin remember everything perfectly?

Kin is designed to remember key information from discussions, not every word verbatim. It captures facts, context, and patterns — the things that matter for giving you relevant, personalized guidance.

Is Memory instant?

Usually, yes. Kin can typically commit something to memory or recall it instantly, though there may be occasional exceptions.

Can I tell Kin to remember something specific?

Absolutely — just tell any advisor to remember it. Keeping messages clear and focused helps Kin capture information accurately.

Is there a limit on Memory?

There's no hard limit on how much Kin can remember. Don't worry about overloading it.

What helps Kin create good memories?

Clear, focused messages work best. But Kin is designed to work with natural conversation, so don't stress about formatting everything perfectly.

Can Kin correct or delete memories?

Yes. Just tell any advisor what you'd like to correct or delete. You can also manage your data directly in Settings → Data Control.

What if something goes wrong?

Let us know! You can submit feedback in the app or reach out on Discord. We're always working to make Memory more robust.
