By structuring your prompts effectively, you can help Kin provide the most valuable support possible.
Step 1: Navigate to the Chat
- Launch the Kin app on your device
- Hit the speech bubble icon on the bottom right to enter the Chat
If you’d like to Type to Kin
Step 2: Find the input field
- To Type to Kin, simply tap the input field at the bottom of the Chat screen, and start typing
- When you’re done, press the send arrow on the right of the input field to send your message
If you’d like to Speak to Kin
Step 3: Find the microphone button
- To Speak, tap the microphone button on the right of the input field to bring up the Dictation screen
- From here, just Speak! Kin will show you what it hears
- When you’re done, press the Pause button to stop recording, and hit the send arrow to send your message to Kin
Step 4: Decide your topic

If you’re not sure what your topic should be, ask Kin. It can use its knowledge of you to suggest areas you might benefit from discussing

Step 5: Provide context
- Start by giving Kin relevant background information to the support you’d like. This helps Kin understand your situation and provide more personalized responses
- Your feelings are important pieces of context for Kin. Don’t leave them out!
- For example, instead of immediately asking "How can I be more productive?", try:
